With a background that includes portraiture and short stories, the dreamlike charm of bygone eras colour my work. I have worked on large scale office murals and produce commercial merchandise, notably greeting cards and prints for independents and large companies.
I am an educator, having lectured at Birmingham City University and regularly teaching drawing workshops with adults, recently for Selfridges staff during Mental Health Awareness Week using drawing to increase mindfulness. I also deliver children’s workshops at local art centres, museums and during city-wide art projects including music/literature festivals and arena events. I recently collaborated on a piece with children’s book illustrators including Chris Riddell OBE and Dame Jacqueline Wilson DBE.
Wes Anderson, Paris, The Electric Cinema, Damien Chazelle, Benjamin Lacombe, The Oscars, Marvel, Lemon Pancakes, JK Simmons, Lego, Nick Cave, Julie Andrews... these are a few of my favourite things.
